Nalla Thioye Senegal
Nalla Thioye is a self-taught artist from Ngor, a small fishermen village on the coast of West Africa. When it comes to his artworks, Nalla draws inspiration from the vibrant colors and diverse experiences of his life. His creations, which span painting, performance, photography and videography, explore serious themes such as the over-exploitation of the seas, coastal erosion and the impact of tourism on cultural heritage. As an assistant to Rosa Mundi, Nalla has honed his skills in pigment and oil painting. He actively collaborates with the “À Contre-Courant” association and conducts workshops for children on the island of Ngor.
