This artwork tells a story of national pride and cultural heritage. “Xooli Bet” is a unique exploration of identity and culture through vibrant colors and dynamic shapes. Nalla Thioye made this work with a mix of oil and acrylic, blending traditional and modern techniques to create a unique texture. The use of Senegalese flag hues symbolizes the pride Nalla has of being from his home country. Each brushstroke is inspired by the rhythmic movements of the Ndaw Rabine Woman, capturing the essence of traditional Lébou culture. The charming dance, the seductive movements and the aquatic life of N’gor are all beautifully represented.
