Carolina Amaya Gomez’s artwork disrupts the dominant discourse, challenging oppressive systems that have silenced marginalized voices for too long. Serving as a catalyst, her art encourages the viewers to question the status quo and embrace the ramifications of human experience. Her work is a mix of contrasting elements : natural materials, that bring tribute to heritage and fetish materials, to challenge societal norms and conventions. With that, she pushes the viewer to question the boundaries between intimacy and public display, exploring the complexities of identity. She wants to use art as a powerful tool for social change, inspiring a new generation of thinkers, artists and activists to reimagine a world where diversity is celebrated and individuality is cherished.
