Achille Adonon, born in 1987, is an artist originally from Benin. His paintings, sculptures and performances explore the concept of identity and anonymity of existence using shoes as a means of artistic and human expression. The shoes metaphorically represent the abandoned children he rescues and cares for so that he can offer them a new life in a world where they can express themselves freely. Adonon transforms recycled materials into works that deal with the primitive aspect of human beings, offering a unique interpretation of everyday life.
