Alfredo Quiroz’s work is inspired by a death mask, made of plaster, with crystals that darken to symbolize the closing of the eyes at the moment of passing. The mask represents a powerful image of the deceased face: freezing time and preserving the memory and remembrance of his extinct carnal presence among his loved ones.
