Greta Pllana, is an Albanian artist born in Durres who moved to Venice with her family after the fall of communism in the 1990s. She uses art, especially painting, to research her origins and express the traditions of her native country, portraying themes such as the female figure in Albanian society, the importance of the family and the rite of marriage. Her colour palette consists of green and pink, which make her works delicate and recognisable.
