Norma Esperanza Lopez was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia. After a degree in Astronomy from Minnesota University, she travelled the world to expand her artistic knowledge, eventually settling in Boston where she graduated from the School of the Museum of Fine Art. The essence of her work is inspired by the human spirit: its simplicity, complexity and ubiquity. The variety she seeks in the human spirit allows her to express the subtleties, rawness and honesty that define who and what we are as human beings.
