‘Peace and Love’ is a heartfelt celebration of Nigeria’s vibrant traditions, beautifully merging them with contemporary fashion. The design is inspired by Nsibidi, an ancient system of symbols from Southeastern Nigeria. These symbols, which have been used for centuries to convey messages of peace and unity, are not just decorative; they carry profound meanings of love and wisdom. By incorporating these into modern eyewear, Orry has created a dialogue between the past and the present, tradition and innovation. The colors gold and black are rich with significance; gold symbolizes wealth, prestige and the vibrancy of life, while black represents strength, resilience and the grounding power of the earth. The matte finish of the glasses pays homage to the natural materials traditionally used for Nsibidi carvings, like stone and wood. This artwork is a call to action; It’s about loving more, connecting more deeply and working for peace in every moment.
