Witnessing the tumultuous socio-political changes in Ukraine in the 1990s, Yevheniya Fritsche makes transformation a central theme in her works, which explore religion, folklore and faith. Influenced by artists such as Max Ernst and Joseph Beuys, Fritsche mixes various mediums to create chemical reactions, exploring cycles of metamorphosis and challenging human perceptions of their environment.
